Poop Island is an island in Lake Blue Ridge, in Fannin County, Georgia. Lake Blue Ridge was created in 1931, and is primarily fed by the Toccoa River, which runs through Northern Georgia. It was created from the completion of the Blue Ridge Dam, which is hydroelectric and is on the aforementioned Toccoa River. Today, it enjoys moderate tourism during the summer. Poop Island receives weekly campers. Poop Island was one of the high points that survived the submerge. Below, there are numerous aerial photographs from different time periods to show what Poop Island looked like.
During the summer, Poop Island's banks are up to the earthen part of the island...the part with the trees, caves, and rocks. However, during the winter, the Tennessee Valley Authority, which manages the lake, drains the lake to a lower level and exposes the red, sandy banks.
In 2010, the Tennessee Valley Authority drained Lake Blue Ridge to an unprecedented level. Below, you can see Poop Island no longer being an island in the 2010 image.

On August 16, 2021, King Mason I, and other members of the Poop Island Royal Family, departed Port Star Creek on the PIV Bennington and voyaged to Poop Island. They planted the flag of Poop Island at exactly 10:45 AM Eastern Daylight Time, declaring the Provincial Kingdom of Poop Island.
The original flag has since been lost, but the flagpole was recovered in June 2022. However, it was misplaced. The only remnant left of that day is Founders Rock.
The King established several departments in his cabinet, and appointed numerous cabinet officials. However, on December 27, 2021, his cousin, Thomas, usurped the throne and declared a dictatorship, holding the government hostage. King Mason fled to rural Poop Island and declared war on King Thomas I. After two months of brutal fighting, espionage, and countless deaths, King Thomas I agreed to the Treaty of Karlain, which gave him a nearby island and returned King Mason I to the throne.
Since then, King Mason I has guided Poop Island to new heights. He's created countless new government programs, expanded the website, kept taxes at a minimum, school scores high, decreased crime, and consolidated healthcare to the Poop Island Medical Society, the government funded private company that runs all healthcare, to ensure standardized efficiency while still maintaining the benefits of private systems.
